Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor achieved a record 42,517 vehicle deliveries in December, marking the second time the company surpassed the 40,000 mark in a single month. This figure also represents the seventh consecutive record month for Leapmotor, according to data released by the company.
The December figure is a 128.37% increase compared to 18,618 vehicles delivered in the same month last year, and a 5.85% increase from the 40,169 vehicles delivered in November. In the fourth quarter of 2024, Leapmotor delivered a record 120,863 vehicles, reflecting an increase of 118.45% year-on-year and a 40.27% rise from the third quarter.
For the full year, Leapmotor delivered 293,724 vehicles, exceeding its 2024 target of 250,000 units ahead of schedule in November. The company’s cumulative deliveries reached 599,548 vehicles by the end of December. Leapmotor is now targeting 500,000 deliveries for 2025, as the company continues to expand its offerings in the electric vehicle market.
“Leapmotor is targeting 500,000 deliveries for 2025,” the company said in its statement, reaffirming its commitment to growth in the coming year. Founded in 2015, Leapmotor has evolved from producing battery electric vehicles (BEVs) to offering extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs), expanding its appeal to a broader market. The company currently sells the T03, C01, C10, C11, and C16 models in China, all of which offer both BEV and EREV variants, except for the T03.
In November, Leapmotor showcased its upcoming B10 model, an all-electric SUV built on the Leap 3.5 architecture, marking the first model in its B-series, which aims to target global markets. The official launch of the B10 is expected in the first quarter of 2025, with more B-series models set for release throughout the year.
