Leapmotor delivered a record 105,656 vehicles globally in September, up 58.51% from the same month last year and 2.45% from August. The Chinese automaker has now exceeded 100,000 monthly deliveries for three consecutive months as it continues to expand in China and overseas markets.

September’s year-on-year growth was slower than the 80.72% increase recorded in August, while monthly growth accelerated from 1.84% in August.

Leapmotor Reports Record Third-Quarter Deliveries

Leapmotor delivered a record 310,052 vehicles in the third quarter, an increase of 78.34% year on year and 25.87% from the second quarter.

Deliveries during the first nine months reached 666,539 vehicles, up 68.52% from the same period last year. The nine-month total has already surpassed the 596,555 vehicles Leapmotor delivered throughout 2025.

Based on its previously announced full-year target of 1 million vehicles, Leapmotor has achieved about 66.7% of its target through September.

The company would need to deliver another 333,461 vehicles during the fourth quarter to reach that goal, equivalent to an average of approximately 111,154 vehicles per month.

Overseas Exports Continue to Grow

Leapmotor’s international business also expanded in September. The company exported more than 27,000 vehicles during the month, taking cumulative exports for the first nine months above 150,000 vehicles.

The September export figure was higher than the 18,255 vehicles exported in August. Leapmotor’s previous monthly export high for the year was approximately 21,000 vehicles in June.

The company’s international expansion is supported by Leapmotor International, its joint venture with Stellantis, which manages exports and sales activities outside China.

European Sales and Service Network Passes 1,000 Locations

Leapmotor said its European sales and service network has expanded to more than 1,000 locations as the company increases its presence in the region.

The automaker is also scheduled to appear at the 2026 Paris Motor Show on October 12, providing another opportunity to showcase its vehicles as it continues its European expansion.

The company’s growing overseas network accompanies the increase in vehicle exports and forms part of its broader strategy to establish Leapmotor as an international electric vehicle brand.

Leapmotor Plans Second Brand for 2027

Alongside its rising vehicle deliveries, Leapmotor is preparing to expand its product and brand portfolio.

Founder, chairman and CEO Zhu Jiangming said at the company’s technology day on September 17 that Leapmotor’s second brand is scheduled to debut and begin vehicle deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2027.

The planned brand will add another product line to Leapmotor’s existing business as the company continues to increase production, expand overseas sales and develop its broader electric vehicle portfolio.
