Last Mile Solutions Expands EV Charging Operations to the United Kingdom

European EV charging and smart energy management platform provider Last Mile Solutions has announced its expansion into the United Kingdom, following its successful operations in 22 European countries. The company, boasting partnerships with 190 charge point operators (CPO), aims to offer flexible, interoperable, and internationally experienced solutions to enhance EV charging businesses.

Last Mile Solutions recently collaborated with Mastercard to establish new payment standards for the EV charging industry. Additionally, in May, the company partnered with leasing provider Arval to enhance charging infrastructure. Arval customers now have access to over 300 high-power charging parks in seven European countries through Fastned, while Last Mile Solutions complements Arval’s fleet leasing industry position with its charging management expertise.

The company’s approach centers on “joining the dots” with remotely managed digital products, tailoring its flexible energy transaction platform to meet the specific needs of organizations. Last Mile Solutions has also been involved in vehicle-to-grid (V2G) projects in the Netherlands since 2021, showcasing its commitment to innovative energy solutions.

Giles Shrimpton, Business Development Director for the UK, expressed pride in bringing Last Mile Solutions’ expertise to the UK, stating, “CPOs and eMSPs need a reliable and experienced partner who is fully conforming to UK requirements. Our solution is fully adapted and compatible with the market’s specific characteristics, such as payment options and taxation.”

With its roots dating back to 1997, Last Mile Solutions initially focused on remote management SaaS software for various sectors, including IT, Telecom, e-mobility, and energy. Notably, the company’s smart-grid technology was commissioned at Schiphol Airport in 2015, enabling the simultaneous charging of 64 Tesla taxis.
