Lancia launches new logo to welcome the electrification era

The Italian manufacturer known for its rally cars, Lancia, has finally been reborn. Acquired by Stellantis, Lancia seems to be getting back on its feet after producing only one model, the Ypsilon for years.

In preparation for the electrification era, Lancia recently unveiled a brand new logo that takes inspiration from the 1957 Lancia logo.

This logo design change also changes Lancia’s future direction towards the electrification era. Lancia itself is rumored to be launching the latest version of Ypsilon in 2024, as well as the latest Aurelia and Delta in 2026 and 2028 respectively.

These new models are part of Lancia’s ten-year strategic plan which will introduce a new vehicle every two years. These models will be fully electric as Europe will ban the sale of new petrol and diesel cars from 2035.

In addition, in the future Lancia will also carry a new design language called Pu + Ra. This new design language is seen in the Zero concept car that looks like a spaceship.

While it doesn’t look like a car exactly, the Zero Concept features LED lighting on the front and rear along with the futuristic lines that will be applied to the upcoming Lancia model.

“Lancia’s new era begins today with a new Logo and a clear design vision..Lancia will once again be a desired, respected and reliable brand in Europe’s premium market. Today is the start of a new Lancia!”, said Luca Napolitano, CEO of Lancia.
