Kia EV6 GT with 430kW ready for Australian market next year

The Kia EV6 GT will be launched in Australia in January 2023, at the same time as the Australian Open tennis tournament.

This electric car uses a 77.4 kWh battery that supplies power to the front motor with 215 hp and 362 hp rear motor. So that the combined power becomes 576 hp and 740 Nm of torque. This performance is higher than the Kia EV6, with a combined power of 320 hp and 605 Nm of torque.

Damien Meredith, Chief Operating Officer of Kia Australia said, “The GT variant will be an exciting addition to the EV6 lineup and like the Air and GT-Line models launched earlier this year.”

It’s not just performance improvements, the Kia EV6 GT will feature electronically controlled suspension, e-limited slip differential, 21-inch alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, Intelligent Front-lighting System (IFS) LED headlights with LED daytime running lights. , and sequential indicators. Bigger brakes with 4-piston calipers front and rear working alongside 380 mm front and rear 360 mm discs are also standard equipment.

Kia claims that its innovative new headlights use the front camera to recognize oncoming and overtaking vehicles and reduce the risk of dazzling other motorists by controlling individual LEDs in each headlight.

Inside the cabin, the Kia EV6 GT has several new features, including the GT Mode Button on the steering wheel, artificial leather and suede bucket seats, and heated seats both front and rear.

“This is a car that combines the power, performance and agility of a sports car worthy of the track. But it provides comfort, ease of driving on the road, and practicality for everyday use,” explained Damien.
