Jeep’s upcoming Recon electric SUV has been spotted with minimal camouflage ahead of its official debut, revealing styling cues that have drawn comparisons to the Ford Bronco.

Unveiled in concept form in 2022, the Recon is one of four electric SUVs planned as part of Jeep’s strategy to become “the global Zero-Emission SUV leader.” The model is described by the company as “designed from the ground up to be 100% Jeep4x4 and 100% zero emission,” and will feature the brand’s Selec-Terrain traction control system and an open-air design.

A new video posted by KindelAuto shows the Recon being transported on a car carrier. The vehicle’s boxy profile and upright front end appear closer in style to Ford’s Bronco than Jeep’s Wrangler, which the automaker previously said was the inspiration.

Former Jeep CEO Christian Meunier has said the Recon will be capable of “cross[ing] the mighty Rubicon Trail, one of the most challenging off-road trails in the US,” and still have enough range to return to town for charging.

Built on Stellantis’ STLA Large platform, the Recon is expected to offer at least 300 miles of range and multiple trims, including Willys, Overland and Moab versions. Pricing will start around $60,000, with higher-end variants topping $80,000.

The Recon will go on sale later this year as a 2026 model year vehicle, following the global rollout of the luxury-focused Wagoneer S.
