In October 2022, Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) will launch the new Toyota Harrier 2023. And, for the first time a selection of Toyota Harrier Plug-in Electric Vehicle Hybrid (PHEV) will be available in the market.
The new Toyota Harrier 2023 with petrol and hybrid engines will go on sale on October 4, 2022, while the PHEV variant will be available at dealerships from October 31, 2022.
All vehicles are equipped with the “Toyota Safety Sense” preventive safety package, which includes a function to detect other oncoming vehicles when you turn right at intersections and pedestrians crossing the road when you turn right or left. All vehicles also get exterior refreshments such as bumpers, air dams in the corner of the front bumper, grille.
In the center of the dashboard there is a floating touch screen measuring 12.3 inches which is connected to satellite navigation and can be a hotspot.
The Toyota Harrier PHEV 2023 will be equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a large capacity of 51 Ah and a voltage of 355.2 Volts with a power consumption of 18.1 kWh. This variant will carry the A25A-FXS 4-cylinder, 2,500cc engine, producing 177 PS at 6,000 rpm and 219 Nm of torque at 3,600 rpm. This engine is used by the hybrid version. There are 2 electric motors, namely at the front (182 PS) and rear (52 PS). Total system power 306 PS.
The petrol engine variant is expected to continue to use the M20A-FKS 4-cylinder 2,000cc mechanical heart with a CVT transmission.
Toyota Harrier 2023 costs 3,128,000 – 6,200,000 in Japan. This model is the fourth generation which was launched in June 2020. The first generation of this model was launched in 1997 in Japan for the first time.
The fourth generation of this model uses the TNGA platform (GA-K) for its basic structure. This creates a very rigid body with a low center of gravity to pursue ride comfort and ride performance.
