JAECOO UK has unveiled full pricing and specifications for the JAECOO E5, marking the company’s first all-electric model for the British market. The E5 is priced from £27,505 on-the-road (OTR) and aims to provide a compact, urban-focused alternative to the internal combustion engine JAECOO 5.

The SUV features a 61.1 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery paired with a 207 PS electric motor delivering 288 Nm of torque, offering a WLTP range of up to 248 miles. Acceleration from 0 to 62 mph takes 7.7 seconds. Charging can be completed via an 80 kW DC fast charger from 30% to 80% in approximately 27 minutes, while overnight home charging is supported through the standard 11 kW AC charger.

The JAECOO E5 supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, allowing drivers to power devices such as camping equipment and laptops directly from the vehicle. The cabin integrates a 13.2-inch portrait touchscreen, a voice assistant system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 540-degree panoramic camera system, and app-based remote controls. Despite its compact exterior, the SUV seats five passengers and offers 480 litres of boot space, expandable to 1,180 litres with the rear seats folded. The interior also features a dedicated pet mode and air-filtration system to enhance comfort for passengers and pets.

Two trim levels are available in the UK: Pure and Luxury. The base Pure model includes Level 2 advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), six-way manually adjustable front seats, and a six-speaker audio system. Luxury trim adds features including a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated electrically adjustable seats, multi-coloured ambient lighting, and an eight-speaker audio upgrade.

JAECOO has equipped the E5 with a 7-year/100,000-mile vehicle warranty and an 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty. RAC Home Start is included as standard. First deliveries in the UK are expected from October through the OMODA&JAECOO UK dealer network. Customers will also be able to choose the petrol-powered JAECOO 5 alongside the all-electric E5 within the compact SUV range.
