IVECO BUS, the urban, intercity, and tourist bus brand under the Iveco Group, has secured three new contracts in France focusing on electric mobility solutions. This recent wave of orders includes 31 hydrogen fuel cell buses and 20 battery electric buses, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainable public transportation.

The Cannes Lérins Urban Community has ordered 12 GX 337 H2 LINIUM BRT hydrogen fuel cell buses, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the second half of 2025. This addition will enhance their existing fleet of 35 IVECO BUS GX ELEC battery electric buses.

In another notable development, Lorient Agglomération has opted for 19 GX 337 H2 LINIUM buses, with five set to commence operations in the second half of 2025, utilizing IVECO BUS’s hydrogen technology for improved environmental performance.

Furthermore, Grand Reims Mobilités has selected IVECO BUS to supply 20 GX 437 ELEC LINIUM BRT battery electric buses, with an option for an additional nine units. These vehicles are expected to be operational in Reims by autumn 2025.

The hydrogen fuel cell buses are a product of the collaboration between Iveco Group and Hyundai Motor Company, which began in 2022. Each bus is equipped with an advanced fuel cell system developed by HTWO, Hyundai’s hydrogen business brand, alongside a battery pack from FPT Industrial, the Iveco Group’s arm focused on low-environmental impact powertrains.

Additionally, the battery electric bus model for Reims is part of a successful range that has garnered interest from over 100 customers across Europe, with more than 3,000 units ordered, highlighting the growing demand for electric mobility solutions.
