Thirty years after the production of its first generation, Renault has finally decided to bring back the iconic Renault 4 model in the form of a concept car.

The full details and specifications of the concept car are yet to be announced, but it is certain that the updated Renault 4 will bring a retro futuristic touch with an electric powertrain.

The teaser that recently circulated shows this electric crossover has a higher ground clearance, referring to the history of the Renault 4 in rally and adventure events. The concept of rally and adventure is also seen on the roof rack and bumper that looks muscular.

The Renault 4 alone has sold over eight million units worldwide, making it one of the best-selling vehicles ever made by the French manufacturer.

Last year, Renault launched a new concept car called ‘AIR4’ in collaboration with mobility company TheArsenale. This concept was created to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the launch of the Renault 4.

The bodywork of the AIR4 is very similar to that of the Renault 4, but with LED headlights and a more rounded look. The Renault 4 Reborn concept will be shown in full by Renault on October 17 at the 2022 Paris Motor Show.

Renault will be 100 percent electric by 2030 in Europe
