Hyundai will sell IONIQ 5 electric SUV start from $39,700

The South Korean car manufacturer, Hyundai, has just released the price of the Ioniq 5 electric car. The electric car is priced starting at $39,700 for the United States market.

Since its initial launch in February, the Ioniq 5 has stolen the attention of a number of potential consumers who want to buy an electric car. One of the advantages of this electric SUV is that it can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes.

Then, Hyundai is also rumored to be increasing the battery capacity on the Ioniq 5. Currently the car is available in a 72.6 kWh battery option and the plan is to increase it to 77.4 kWh.

This makes the Ioniq 5 able to cover even further distances. Initially, the EV car was able to travel 423 km, now the Ioniq 5 is claimed to be able to reach a distance of 480 to 490 km on a single battery charge.

Hyundai sells the Ioniq 5 with a variety of types and prices for the United States market. The types range from the SE Standard Range which comes with a rear-wheel drive system, to the Limited which comes with dual motors and all-wheel drive.

Ioniq 5 SE Standard Range: $39,700
Ioniq 5 SE: $43,650
Ioniq 5 SE AWD: $47,150
Ioniq 5 SEL: $45,900
Ioniq 5 CELL AWD: $49,400
Ioniq 5 Limited: $50,600
Ioniq 5 Limited AWD: $54,500
