In a bid to attract buyers, Hyundai has launched a fire sale on its 2024 IONIQ 5 electric SUV, offering a rare 0% finance offer. This incentive could translate to savings of up to $7,800 compared to a similarly priced Tesla model.

The IONIQ 5, which sold nearly 34,000 models last year, ranked as the sixth best-selling electric vehicle in the US in 2023. Built on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform, the IONIQ 5 boasts a longer wheelbase than the three-row Palisade, thanks to its flat floor design, despite being similar in length to the Tucson.

With a starting price of $47,400, the 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 5 offers up to 303 miles of range and can charge from 10 to 80% in as little as 18 minutes with 800V DC fast charge, ensuring quick turnaround times on the road. It also features vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability, allowing users to power up their campsite, laptop, TV, or other larger electric equipment and appliances using 120V charging outlets while on the go.

While the IONIQ 5 already offers competitive pricing and features compared to models like the Ford Mustang Mach-E, VW ID.4, Nissan Ariya, and Toyota bZ4X, Hyundai’s new offer sweetens the deal. According to a note sent to dealers, all 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 5 trims are eligible for a rare 0% finance offer as part of the Hyundai Getaway sales event, running through February 29th. This offer includes 0% APR for up to 60 months or a $7,500 EV bonus, lower than the previous 1.49% APR offer and the lowest for the 2024 model year so far.

The 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 5 also comes with a $7,500 Retail Bonus Cash offer, making it an even more enticing option for buyers looking to switch to an electric vehicle. This move follows Ford’s announcement of slashing Mustang Mach-E prices by up to $8,100 and introducing 0% APR for 72 months and a $3,000 bonus cash offer.

With its 0% APR offer, the IONIQ 5 emerges as a significantly more affordable option compared to Tesla models, offering buyers substantial savings and a compelling value proposition in the competitive electric SUV market.
