Hyundai hands over Ioniq 5 and Genesis G80 electric sedan for the G20 Bali Summit

Hyundai officially handed over the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Genesis G80 electric cars to the Indonesian government to support the G20 Bali Summit in November 2022. The handover took place today, Tuesday, October 25, at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta.

The G20 Bali Summit is a summit of 20 countries to find common solutions to global economic conditions.

In total, Hyundai brought 393 electric cars for the G20 Bali Summit which will be held on 15-16 November 2022. There are 44 Genesis G80 Electric special edition long wheelbase electric sedans, 87 long wheelbase Genesis G80 Electric Standards, and 262 Hyundai Ioniq 5 compact cars.

“I want to say thank you for this special moment. We brought 393 units of the Genesis G80 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 to support the G20 Bali Summit,” said Youngtack Lee, President of Hyundai Motor Asia Pacific Headquarters.

Minister of State Secretary Pratikno thanked Hyundai for the support for the G20 Bali Summit and the Government of Indonesia as the host.

“Thank you for supporting the G20 Bali Summit program through the Genesis G80 and Ioniq 5 as official environmentally friendly vehicles,” said Pratikno.

The Genesis G80 Special Edition Long Wheelbase electric sedan car will be specifically designed for the heads of state participating in the G20 Bali Summit. While the standard long wheelbase G80 will be used by the core delegation group.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be used by the accompanying delegation, security and safety teams. The Ioniq 5 type used is the Signature Long Range.

The G80 Electrified electric car is a large sedan. It is 5 meters long, 1.92 meters wide and 1.47 meters high. The 3 m long wheelbase will ensure that passengers are comfortable during the trip.
