Chinese electric vehicle company Human Horizons has just unveiled more details about its new ultra-futuristic vehicle, the HiPhi Z.

Conceptually, this car is called redefining the traditional GT (Grand Tourer) vehicle. HiPhi Z comes with the latest technology that is claimed to be able to create a driving experience at an unmatched level.

Human Horizons doesn’t hesitate to say that its electric car looks, feels, and runs like a car from 20 years into the future.

The car, which was built with a steel-aluminum hybrid construction, already carries technological sophistication on its exterior.

HiPhi Z comes with a futuristic design full of sharp curves on the body, HiPhi Z features the first Star-Ring ISD wrap-around light curtain in a passenger car in the world.

Consisting of 4066 individual LED light curtains, the Star-Ring ISD makes the car seem to be able to interact with the passenger, driver and the world around it.

The intelligent ISD interactive system and ultra-wideband wireless communication technology (UWB) with positioning up to 10 cm also allow the car door to detect people, keys, and other vehicles automatically. Thus, it can produce door openings that can be intelligently adjusted, both in terms of speed and angle.

There are also Active air grille shutters (AGS) connected to the rear spoiler and wing to automatically adjust vehicle drag and reduce lift to improve overall performance.

Inside the cabin are digital settings such as an ultra-futuristic spaceship featuring what they call a “digital soul” in the form of the HiPhi Bot, namely advanced AI (artificial intelligence) capabilities that can automatically adjust every aspect of the driving and passenger experience.

The entire interior of the Hiphi Z is upholstered in soft Ultrasuede Bio Galaxy fabric and ambient panel lights flow into the 23-speaker Meridian audio system and racing-type seats.

The sensory experience while in HiPhi Z is also presented with a combination of lighting, touch, sound and fragrance, to create an immersive and comfortable environment.

The Hiphi Z is also the only vehicle in the world that is equipped with 4-degrees of freedom (DOF), 8-direction infinitely adjustable, high-speed motion robotic arm that can move back and forth in place in less than one second, and features accuracy. control up to 0.001 mm capable of performing various smooth movements with almost no sound.

For its capabilities, the HiPhi Z is claimed to be able to reach speeds of up to 100 km / h in just 3.8 seconds, and with a high-performance battery pack of 120 kWh it can go up to 705 kilometers. The battery is also equipped with Cell to Pack (CTP) technology and coolant to offer heat diffusion and prevent fires.

For driver comfort, HiPhi Z adopts an all-aluminum double wishbone front suspension, five-link rear suspension, air suspension, and Continuous Damping Control (CDC) to continuously adjust performance dynamically.

This rear-wheel steering car also has the IVC vehicle dynamic control system which, although more than 5 m in length, can produce a steering angle of 13.2 degrees, or allow turning circles similar to the MINI Cooper.

Supports the innovative ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) or the company’s in-house HiPhi Pilot system, with dual redundancy capabilities for the six main systems of computing, perception, communication, braking, steering and power supply.

For added security, HiPhi Z leverages the NVIDIA Orin X + QNX Neutrino real-time operating system (RTOS) chip utilizing 34 sensors and LiDAR technology to continuously scan the surrounding environment and provide steering and parking assistance.

Priced from US$ 89 thousand to US$129 thousand, the HiPhi Z is scheduled to be shown to the public at the Chengdu Auto Show in August.
