Hubject is strengthening its commitment to streamline electric vehicle (EV) charging globally through two strategic partnerships, one in North America and another in Malaysia.
In North America, Hubject has teamed up with ChargeLab, a hardware-independent software platform for EV charging. This collaboration will see ChargeLab implement Hubject’s Plug&Charge ecosystem, which aims to enhance the charging experience for ChargePoint Operators (CPOs), eMobility Service Providers (EMSPs), and EV manufacturers across the region. According to Hubject, this partnership will facilitate seamless and secure charging solutions for an increasing number of charging stations.
“ChargeLab is emerging as a major player in the OCPP software space, providing their platform to well-known North American brands,” stated Trishan Peruma, CEO of Hubject North America. He emphasized that the partnership will significantly improve the charging experience for North American EV drivers.
Ehsan Mokhtari, CTO of ChargeLab, noted that integrating Hubject’s Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) enhances the security framework critical for modern EV charging systems, setting a new standard for interoperability in the industry.
In addition to its North American endeavors, Hubject has partnered with Yinson GreenTech in Malaysia to implement Plug&Charge technology within the chargEV charging station network. This integration aligns with Yinson GreenTech’s commitment to fostering sustainable technologies in the region.
Eirik Barclay, CEO of Yinson GreenTech, expressed pride in collaborating with Hubject, stating, “This partnership not only supports the Malaysian government’s sustainability initiatives but also provides a secure and convenient charging experience for EV users.”
Christian Hahn, CEO of Hubject, remarked, “We are excited to bring Plug&Charge technology to Malaysia through our collaboration with Yinson GreenTech. This partnership will enhance the charging experience for EV drivers and support the rapid expansion of EV infrastructure in Southeast Asia.”
