Huawei’s HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) business announced it will host a new product launch event on August 25 to unveil updated electric vehicle models from its Luxeed and Aito brands.

The event, scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. Beijing time, will showcase the Luxeed S7 sedan, R7 coupe SUV, and the battery-electric (BEV) variant of the Aito M8 SUV.

Luxeed, a joint venture between Huawei and Chery, began pre-sales for the updated S7 and R7 models on August 8. Within the first hour, the company reported receiving more than 10,000 pre-orders. The S7 is priced at RMB 258,000 ($35,900) and the R7 at RMB 268,000.

Aito, a joint venture between Huawei and Seres Group, will introduce the M8 in a new BEV variant, available in both five- and six-seat configurations. Pre-sales for the M8 BEV began on July 25, with a starting price of RMB 378,000. The updated Aito M7 SUV is also expected to appear at the event, though pre-sales have not yet started.

The updated M7 SUV is slightly larger than its predecessor, measuring 5,080 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, 1,780 mm in height, and featuring a wheelbase of 3,030 mm, compared with the current model’s 5,020 mm length, 1,945 mm width, 1,760 mm height, and 2,820 mm wheelbase.
