Horizon Robotics and Japan’s DENSO have announced a strategic collaboration to co-develop advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) tailored to China’s complex driving environment, aiming to expand access to smart driving technologies beyond premium vehicles.
The partnership will combine Horizon Robotics’ high-performance Journey series processors with DENSO’s extensive experience in ADAS and vehicle integration. The collaboration focuses on building systems that enhance safety in both congested urban areas and high-speed highway conditions, offering a comprehensive suite of assisted driving features optimized for Chinese roadways.

“This partnership with DENSO marks an important step toward enabling safer and smarter mobility in China,” said Dr. Yu Kai, founder of Horizon Robotics. “Their decades of vehicle integration expertise, paired with our Journey series chips, will accelerate the deployment of intelligent driving systems.”
DENSO executive Eiji Inoue emphasized the company’s longstanding presence in China and its commitment to adapting technologies for the local market. “We’ve been working in China since 1987. Horizon’s processing technology shows great potential, and we’re eager to support the next chapter of smart driving development here.”
