Horizon Robotics and Bosch have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to deepen cooperation on advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) for passenger vehicles, the companies said on Thursday, aiming to accelerate the rollout of smart driving technologies in global markets.

Under the agreement, Bosch will develop a new multi-purpose camera powered by Horizon’s Journey 6B processor, targeting SAE Level 2 assisted driving features. The smart camera, which has already secured design wins from several global and Chinese automakers, is expected to enter mass production by mid-2026.

The partnership also includes the development of Bosch’s new ADAS product line for mid-segment vehicles, based on Horizon’s Journey 6E/M chips. The system will offer capabilities such as urban navigation-assisted driving, memory driving and parking across up to 10 routes, and one-move parking assistance. The platform has been contracted by five automakers including JeTour, Dongfeng, and BAIC, with the first production vehicle set to launch in June 2025. Bosch also confirmed an overseas project based on the platform is scheduled for early 2026.

Horizon’s Journey 6 series, which is designed for high-performance and cost-effective smart driving applications, has been adopted by more than 20 original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across over 100 vehicle models. The company expects shipments of the series to surpass 1 million units by 2025.

Horizon founder Yu Kai said the partnership represents a significant step toward delivering “safer and more reliable intelligent driving experiences.”
