Heybike Set to Unveil Mars 2.0 E-Bike Upgrade in Q3 2023

Heybike has officially announced the impending arrival of the Mars 2.0, an upgraded version of its popular Mars electric bike, slated for release in the third quarter of 2023. While maintaining the familiar folding all-terrain design of its predecessor, the Mars 2.0 promises to bring several intriguing improvements, setting it apart in the competitive e-bike landscape.

Key among these enhancements is a significant upgrade in power. The Mars 2.0 will be equipped with a robust 750W motor, with the capability to reach a peak mode of 1200W, a notable improvement over the original Mars, which featured a 500~750W motor. Additionally, this enhanced motor is rated to deliver 28Nm of torque, potentially accelerating the e-bike to higher speeds, with a top velocity of 28 miles per hour (~45 kilometers per hour).

The impressive power of the Mars 2.0 is harnessed from a removable battery located in a unique under-saddle bay on the bike. This 600Wh battery (48V/12.5Ah) provides an estimated range of 45 miles (~72km), slightly less than its predecessor but still offering substantial distance coverage.

Practicality receives a boost in the Mars 2.0, as it comes standard with a rear rack, and not just any rack, but an “enhanced” version. This robust rack boasts a “payload capacity” of up to 330lb (~150 kilogram (kg)) and features pegboards on both sides, accommodating optional accessories like water bottle holders.

Adding a tech-savvy touch to the Mars 2.0 is the inclusion of a Smart App, offering functionality for activity tracking and navigation. The e-bike will be available in an array of color options, including orange, blue, gray, and black.

Despite these enticing features, Heybike has yet to disclose pricing and availability details for the Mars 2.0, leaving eager enthusiasts awaiting further information on this eagerly anticipated e-bike upgrade.
