The electric car of the future is being demonstrated by Mercedes-Benz. The Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX conducted direct testing in mainland Europe to determine the actual mileage and efficiency.
The path used to start at Sindelfingen and finish at Cassis on the Côte d’Azur covers more than 1,000 km, the scenario in daily traffic for a single battery charge. Through this test, the Vision EQXX also proves efficiency at the highest level of electric cars, use in real conditions and independently proves. This test was also carried out by sealing the battery charging socket and witnessed by the certification body TÜV Süd.
“Finally we can do it! It goes more than 1,000 km on a single charge and consumes only 8.7 kWh/100 km under real traffic conditions,” said Ola Källenius, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG.
He added that the Vision EQXX is the most efficient Mercedes car ever made. The technology program behind it marks a milestone in the development of electric cars. “This supports our strategic goal to excel in electric vehicles,” said Ola.
