Hyundai Motor Co. has officially launched an electric car from its luxury brand, Genesis GV60. This environmentally friendly model is shown for the South Korean domestic market. This is the company’s statement in a statement, reported by Yonhap, written Sunday (18/12/2022).
The Genesis GV60 gets a 77.4 kilowatt/hour battery and can cover a distance of up to 451 km on a single charge.
In addition, the Genesis GV60 also has three drive options, namely rear-wheel drive, four-wheel drive and four-wheel performance. Meanwhile, the price offered starts from 65 million won to 74 million won.
This electric car from Ginseng Country has several advanced features, such as the world’s first facial recognition technology for keyless entry in production vehicles, as well as a digital key. Meanwhile, the face connect function gives customers the ability to unlock and access the car with just the owner’s face.
Meanwhile, the digital key feature allows customers to access the vehicle and lock or unlock it using only the owner’s smartphone.
The Genesis GV60 is the luxury brand’s second electric vehicle, following the G80. However, unlike the first all-battery model, the GV60 is only available with the Hyundai Motor Group’s electric vehicle-only EGMP powertrain.
This model falls under the GV80 and GV70 SUV lineup, which also includes the G70, G80 and G90 sedans.
The Genesis GV60 uses the same platform as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6, namely E-GMP.
