Luxury automaker Genesis has introduced an entry-level Advanced trim for its all-electric 2024 Genesis Electrified G80 sedan, offering consumers a more affordable option. Priced at $75,570, the Advanced trim is $5,380 cheaper than the previous model, providing an enticing proposition for prospective buyers.

Genesis initially launched the Electrified G80 in 2021, marking the brand’s foray into the all-electric segment. The 2023 model, starting at $80,900, featured a 282-mile range, a premium interior, and an array of features. Responding to market dynamics, the addition of the new Advanced trim aims to broaden the model’s appeal with a more accessible starting point.

The 2024 Electrified G80 retains its 365-horsepower AWD powertrain, maintaining performance standards seen in the Prestige trim. While specific details about the Advanced model are yet to be disclosed, it is expected to align closely with the existing powertrain and range offerings.

Genesis’ strategic move comes amid a rising demand for electric vehicles in the US. The brand has steadily expanded its electric vehicle portfolio, encompassing models such as the GV60, Electrified GV70 SUV, and the Electrified G80 sedan. The company’s commitment to a greener future is reflected in its plan to cease new gas-powered vehicle sales by 2026.

As Genesis positions itself in a growing market for electric luxury vehicles, the introduction of a more affordable variant underscores the brand’s responsiveness to evolving consumer preferences and market dynamics.
