Jameel Motors has signed an agreement with Farizon Auto, a subsidiary of Chinese automotive giant Geely, to distribute new energy commercial vehicles in the United Kingdom. Farizon, established in 2016, has built a market-leading reputation through its focus on zero-emission technology and user-centric design. The Farizon SV large electric van will be the flagship model for the brand’s UK launch, with sales expected to begin in the first half of 2025.
The Farizon SV van is designed specifically to meet the needs of European fleets, offering a range of advanced technologies and industry-first innovations in the light commercial vehicle (LCV) market. The SV has undergone a rigorous one-million-mile testing program and meets or exceeds all European standards, including durability, safety, and sustainability. The vehicle is built on a ‘born electric’ modular platform, delivering benefits in cargo space, range, handling, and safety.
Key features of the SV van include cell-to-pack battery technology that increases capacity by 10%, reduces weight by 4%, and enhances body rigidity by 20%. It also introduces the world’s first dual-redundancy drive-by-wire platform in the global van market. This innovation reduces stopping distance by 10%, increases range by 5%, and improves steering response by 300%. These advancements not only improve performance but also contribute to higher load capacity and a lower loading height.
In addition to its innovative design, the SV van incorporates high-strength steel and hybrid aluminium-steel materials in the chassis and body, reducing weight by 8%. This reduction contributes to improved payload capacity, energy efficiency, and overall performance. The vehicle’s interior is designed to meet the highest safety standards, with the latest technology for comfort and convenience while retaining physical buttons for essential functions to minimize driver distraction.
Farizon’s SV van will be available in three vehicle lengths and three heights in the UK, with two battery options: 67 kWh and 83 kWh, along with a future 106-kWh option. Full UK specifications, pricing, and a launch date will be announced closer to the start of sales. This partnership marks a significant step in expanding Farizon’s presence in the European market and advancing the transition to zero-emission commercial transportation.
