Geely Auto’s sub-brand Geely Galaxy has previewed the upcoming A7 EV sedan, expanding its presence in the battery electric vehicle (BEV) segment as it looks to strengthen competitiveness in China’s mid-size market.
The company released official images of the model, describing its design as a potential benchmark for mid-size electric family sedans. The A7 EV is expected to launch later this month.

According to regulatory data, the sedan measures 4,935 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width and 1,500 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,845 mm. Compared with the plug-in hybrid version of the A7 introduced in August 2025, the electric variant is longer and taller while maintaining the same wheelbase.
The A7 EV is built on Geely’s Global Intelligent New Energy Architecture (GEA) and features the company’s Golden Battery. It is expected to deliver a driving range exceeding 550 kilometres under the CLTC standard, with energy consumption of 11.4 kWh per 100 kilometres. The battery system supports fast charging, with the company indicating a recharge time of around 20 minutes.

Inside, the model will be equipped with the Flyme Auto 2 intelligent cockpit system, centred around a 14.6-inch display.
The launch comes as Geely Galaxy faces pressure from declining sales in recent months. The brand sold 82,744 vehicles in March, down 8.09% year-on-year, marking its third consecutive monthly decline. Battery electric vehicle sales across Geely Auto totalled 70,557 units in March, a decrease of around 18% from a year earlier, while plug-in hybrid sales rose 70% to 56,762 units.

The hybrid version of the A7, launched last August with a starting price of 89,800 yuan ($13,160), recorded more than 10,000 firm orders within 24 hours of its debut, highlighting strong demand in the segment.
Pricing for the A7 EV has not yet been disclosed, though it is expected to be positioned close to the hybrid variant, targeting the highly competitive price range around 100,000 yuan.
