Geely Auto reported modest sales growth in June, supported by record export volumes and a strong recovery in battery-electric vehicle (BEV) deliveries, even as demand in China’s domestic market remained subdued.

The Chinese automaker sold 240,799 vehicles during the month, representing a 2.02% increase from a year earlier and a 1.33% gain compared with May.

For the first half of 2026, cumulative vehicle sales reached 1.42 million units, up 0.98% from the same period last year.

Overseas Sales Reach New Milestone

International markets continued to drive Geely Auto’s expansion.

The company exported a record 102,874 vehicles in June, marking the first time monthly overseas deliveries exceeded 100,000 units.

Exports surged 157.11% year over year and increased 20.82% from May, highlighting the accelerating contribution of international markets to the company’s overall growth.

Meanwhile, domestic sales totaled 137,925 vehicles, declining 29.64% compared with June 2025 and falling 9.55% from the previous month.

Electric Vehicle Sales Improve

Geely Auto’s new energy vehicle portfolio delivered stronger results during June, led by a rebound in battery-electric models.

BEV deliveries rose to 103,522 units, increasing 21.96% year over year and 35.09% from May. The performance ended five consecutive months of annual declines.

Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) sales also remained strong, climbing 54.52% year over year to 57,927 units.

The improvement in electrified vehicle sales provided fresh momentum for the company’s overall performance despite softer demand in the domestic market.

Zeekr and Galaxy Lead Brand Performance

Premium EV brand Zeekr posted its strongest monthly performance on record, delivering 35,169 vehicles in June, more than doubling sales from a year earlier with a 110.57% increase.

The Geely Galaxy brand also returned to growth, selling 108,206 vehicles during the month. Sales increased 19.93% year over year and 32.40% compared with May, ending five straight months of annual declines.

Elsewhere in the portfolio, Lynk & Co reported sales of 19,066 vehicles, down 27.53% from a year earlier.

The core Geely brand delivered 186,564 vehicles in June, declining 3.35% year over year but recording a modest 2.21% increase from the previous month.
