Zero Motorcycles, an electric motorcycle manufacturer from the United States will launch a new electric motorcycle for the adventure segment.

According to a Motorcycle.com report, Zero Motorcycles has submitted an additional VIN application in late 2021 designating the DSR/X as the 2023 model.

The document shows the new brand and type nomenclature with the SDS platform branching out into the FST (Street) and FSTX (Adventure) segments.

The new Zero Motorcycles model uses a Z-Force 14.4 and 15.3 battery configuration. This makes the adventure electric motorcycle have a range of more than 163 miles or about 262 kilometers per single charge.

Another thing to dig into is the new interior permanent magnet (IPM) 5T with the next lineup. The manufacturer will feature the same 3.0 kW charger and optional 12.0 kW fast charger found on Zero Motorcycles’ flagship IPM F motorcycle.

Zero Motorcycles has continued to improve and update their electric motorcycle portfolio in recent years.

In 2019, the flagship SR/F naked bike was launched and the SR/S sportbike was launched the following year. Zero Motorcycles also released an adventure-adjacent trim with the DSR Black Forest.

In 2021, Zero Motorcycles presented a futuristic-looking FXE supermoto in July and a revamped SR model in November 2021.
