Ford unveiled the 1978 Ford F100 pick-up truck with an electric engine at the Los Angeles motor show. The electric concept car called the F-100 Eluminator uses an electric motor that powers a retro version of the upcoming F-150 Lightning EV.

The concept car features all-wheel-drive with the same two powerful electric motors as the 2021 Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition. The two electric motors can produce 480 bhp and 634 lb ft of torque. Details of the battery and range have not been disclosed in the launch.

The F-100 Eluminator is engineered by Ford’s Performance division and uses a custom chassis built by the Roadster Shop. The Ford F-100 Eluminator Electric Concept has an Avalanche Gray body color, while the lettering and details get a Cerakote Copper finish.

The interior of the Ford F-100 Eluminator Electric Concept uses a billet aluminum finish and bucket seats with avocado tanned leather upholstery. On the Dashboard there is a simple wide screen and a large infotainment screen from Mach-E. The gearshift is on the center console, while the battery charging port is behind the panel on the driver’s side front fender. For tires, the Ford F-100 Eluminator Electric Concept uses a special 19-inch Michelin Latitude Sport Forgeline, three-piece billet aluminum wheels that give it a retro look.
