Fisker, the electric vehicle (EV) startup, has unveiled additional information regarding its international expansion strategy, specifically focusing on its entry into the Indian market.
Anticipating completion of the homologation process by September, Fisker plans to commence deliveries of its highly-anticipated Fisker Ocean electric SUV in India during the fourth quarter of 2023. This move highlights the company’s commitment to tapping into the world’s third-largest automotive market.
To mark its entry into India, Fisker will introduce a limited-run model known as the Fisker Ocean Extreme Vigyan Edition. This variant pays homage to the firm’s India subsidiary, Fisker Vigyan India Private Limited, which was established in Hyderabad last year.
With production limited to just 100 units, the pricing of the Fisker Ocean Extreme Vigyan Edition in India will mirror that of the European market. Although the German market currently offers the Fisker Ocean Extreme at 69,950 euros ($78,560), the India-bound model will incur additional costs such as import taxes and logistics.
Fisker’s expansion plans reflect its dedication to expanding its global presence and catering to the rapidly growing EV demand in India. With the introduction of the Fisker Ocean Extreme Vigyan Edition, Indian customers can look forward to experiencing the innovative features and sustainable performance of this exceptional electric SUV.
