The 2023 Fisker Ocean Sport and Ocean Ultra models have sold out in the United States following the Ocean One special edition which sold out globally last month.
The Fisker Ocean Sport starts at $37,499 while the Ocean Ultra starts at $49,999. Meanwhile Ocean One is selling for $68,999 with 5,000 customers having placed a $5,000 deposit to secure their reservation.
On the other hand, the company will take orders for Ocean Extreme in select markets on November 18th. Fisker also began taking orders for Sport and Ultra trims for overseas markets in the first quarter of 2023.
Regarding the recent Inflation Reduction Act in the United States Senate, the company is offering the opportunity to become a non-refundable order. The move allows customers to “maintain eligibility for a $7,500 federal tax credit for EVs that become unavailable if the IRA is signed into law.”
“We moved quickly to preserve the opportunity of our qualifying US reservation holders to remain eligible for the current federal tax credit. We’re very happy that, in addition to global Fisker Ocean One customers securing their vehicles, those reservation holders in the US who wanted a Fisker Ocean could lock in their purchase commitment.” said CEO Henrik Fisker
The company is exploring production in the US for some models to qualify for the EV tax credit. Fisker has announced that the Pear will be built at the Foxconn plant in Ohio.
Fisker is also in talks with Magna about a possible increase in Ocean production in the second half of 2023.
