Fisker has wasted no time in accepting reservations for its groundbreaking Ronin convertible and Alaska pickup trucks. Both vehicles were revealed at the highly anticipated Product Vision Day 2023 event.
The Ronin, proudly touted as the world’s first-ever four-door convertible, boasts distinctive features such as Mazda RX-8-inspired half-doors for rear passengers, a lightweight carbon fiber hardtop, and innovative active aero flaps.
Set to enter limited production by late 2025, the Ronin is equipped with a cutting-edge cell-to-chassis battery and an impressive tri-motor setup, generating a staggering output of over 1,000 horsepower. Enthusiasts can secure their reservation for the hand-built Ronin at the cost of $2,000 through the company’s official website. Fisker anticipates the zero-emissions drop-top to offer an impressive driving range of 600 miles (965 kilometers) on a full charge, achieving a jaw-dropping 0 to 60 miles per hour time of just 2 seconds.

Prospective buyers also have the opportunity to reserve the Ocean-based Alaska pickup for a nominal fee of $250, with an estimated production start in late 2024. The American startup targets a starting price of $45,500 before incentives for the Alaska pickup.
Based on the FT31 platform, an extended version of the platform that underpins the popular Ocean SUV, the Fisker Alaska positions itself between a compact and mid-size pickup category. Its cargo bed measures 4.5 feet (1.37 meters), but a fascinating highlight showcased during the presentation revealed that the electric truck can accommodate items as long as 9.6 ft (2.92 m) by opening both the liftgate and the innovative midgate, aptly named the “Houdini trunk” by Fisker.
While technical details regarding the Alaska’s driving range remain undisclosed, speculations suggest that it could fall within the range of 230 to 340 miles (370-547 km). Given the brand’s successful Ocean powertrain, it is reasonable to assume that the pickup might feature a single front-mounted electric motor producing 275 horsepower in its base variant, while higher trims could come equipped with an all-wheel-drive setup featuring a potent 540 horsepower dual-motor system.
In addition to the Ronin and Alaska, Fisker is also offering pre-orders for its upcoming Pear crossover, catering to the budget-conscious EV enthusiasts, available at the attractive price of $250. With these impressive offerings, Fisker continues to shape the landscape of the electric vehicle market, setting new benchmarks in performance and sustainability.
