In a recent exclusive interview with Fiskerati, Henrik Fisker, the Chairman and CEO of Fisker Inc, provided some exciting updates for Fisker Ocean One customers. He started the conversation by reassuring customers that the company is still on track to deliver all 5000 Ocean 1 models before September, despite some delays caused by pending government approvals.

“Of course, it’s been a little difficult for us to give exact dates as we are waiting for some various government approvals. But I think we are inching a lot closer,” said Fisker.

Henrik also shared some exciting news about the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) changing their rating process for electric vehicles (EVs). Instead of reviewing documents to determine a vehicle’s minimum range, the EPA will now test the vehicles themselves. Fisker is already preparing a vehicle for shipping to the U.S. for testing.

Regarding the Fisker Ocean’s touchscreen software, Henrik highlighted some user-friendly features that will enhance the driving experience. He mentioned the “mini map,” which allows drivers to see where they are in a slim mini format behind the main music screen.

“When you call up your music, it is the main part of your screen, but behind that you have the map,” explained Fisker. “It allows you to see where you are in a slim mini format.”

Henrik also talked about the convenience of over-the-air updates, which will allow Fisker owners to receive the latest software enhancements and improvements remotely, keeping their vehicles up-to-date with the latest technological advancements.

In addition to these updates, Henrik shared details about Fisker Experience Centers. The company has opened its first two European centers in Copenhagen and Vienna, which have been well-received by customers.

“Overall, it was a great experience to get people to come in and spend some time,” said Fisker.

The next Experience Center is expected to open in Germany, with plans for another location in Norway.

As Fisker Inc continues to make strides in the EV market, Henrik Fisker remains confident in the company’s ability to deliver quality vehicles and a top-notch customer experience.

“I think we’re going to see that people are going to be extremely happy with the car,” he said. “And I think we’re going to see that people are going to be extremely happy with the whole experience of buying the car.”
