Fiat has significantly reduced prices for its Fiat 500e lineup in the UK, making electric mobility more accessible with a new base price of £21,995. The Fiat 500e Convertible also benefits from a price cut, now starting at £24,995 for the base configuration.
“The new pricing makes the Fiat 500e one of the most affordable electric cars in the UK,” a Fiat spokesperson stated. The retro-styled electric vehicle now nearly matches the upcoming Citroën ë-C3, set to debut with a base price of £21,990 by late 2024. The summer update also introduces two new color options: Acid Green and Celestial Blue.
Customers can now save up to £6,200 on the Fiat 500e and Fiat 500e Convertible in the UK, including £3,000 from the Fiat e-Grant introduced since June 2023. This incentive, aimed at compensating for the discontinuation of the UK’s Plug-in Car Grant, exceeds the previous government incentive of £1,500.
Fiat has extended the Fiat e-Grant to include the Abarth 500e and Fiat 600e models. The offer is currently scheduled to conclude on 31 December.
In the UK, the Fiat 500e is available in two variants: City Range and Long Range. The base model features a 70 kW electric motor and a 24 kWh battery pack, achieving 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) in 9.5 seconds and a top speed of 84 mph (135 kph), with a WLTP range of 118.1 miles (190 km).
The Long Range variant upgrades to a 118 kW motor and a larger 42 kWh battery, boasting a quicker acceleration of 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) in 9 seconds and an extended range of up to 203.2 miles (327 km) on a full charge, according to WLTP standards.
The Fiat 500e Convertible aligns with the Long Range specifications, offering similar performance metrics with a WLTP range of 190.8 miles (307 km).
Looking ahead, Fiat plans further affordability enhancements for the Fiat 500e with a €100 million investment to redesign its platform and integrate new-generation battery technology. Amidst evolving market demands, Fiat is also developing a new Fiat 500 Ibrida hybrid model slated for introduction between late 2025 and early 2026.
