Audi has confirmed that the 2025 Q6 e-tron will start at $63,800 in the United States, with deliveries expected by the end of the year. The company also announced plans to introduce a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) variant in the fourth quarter of 2024, expanding the lineup of this all-electric SUV.

The RWD version is expected to have an estimated EPA range of 321 miles, making it the longest-range battery electric vehicle (BEV) in Audi’s portfolio. This variant features a rear motor producing 302 horsepower, enabling acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 130 mph. The model will support DC fast charging with a capacity of up to 260 kW, enhancing its appeal for long-distance driving.

Quattro Models and Battery Performance

In addition to the RWD version, Audi will continue offering the Q6 e-tron quattro and SQ6 e-tron quattro in the US. Both versions are powered by a 100-kWh battery (94.9 kWh usable), with the Q6 e-tron quattro providing an estimated EPA range of 307 miles, and the SQ6 e-tron offering a range of 275 miles. Top speeds are set at 130 mph for the Q6 e-tron quattro and 143 mph for the higher-performance SQ6 e-tron quattro.

These models are part of Audi’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, representing the company’s latest innovations in electric vehicle design and technology. Audi has emphasized the robust performance and fast charging capabilities of the Q6 e-tron series, positioning it as a competitive choice in the electric SUV market.

Future Variants and Entry-Level Model

Audi has also hinted at the possibility of introducing more rear-wheel-drive variants. While the RWD model is slated for release in late 2024, the company has teased an entry-level version of the Q6 e-tron that will feature a smaller battery with an energy content of 83 kWh, using ten battery modules instead of the usual twelve. However, Audi has not yet confirmed if this entry-level model will be available in the US or provided details on its pricing or launch timeline.

With these new additions, Audi aims to offer a wider range of electric vehicles to meet diverse customer needs, further advancing its shift towards an electrified future.
