Fiat, part of the Stellantis brand, has unveiled a glimpse into its electric future with five concept vehicles set to lead to series models by 2027, starting with a small electric car in July 2024.
“These are the next steps in the creation of the Brand’s product line-up,” Fiat CEO Olivier Francois said. The concept cars depart from Fiat’s previous approach with the 500 electric, instead using a multi-energy platform from Stellantis for electric, hybrid, and pure combustion engines, likely the STLA Small and STLA Medium platforms.
The first new Fiat model is expected to be the Pandina small electric car, using technology from Stellantis rather than the electric 500 platform. Production locations in Serbia, Morocco, and Brazil are being discussed.

The ‘City Car’ concept, described as a “Mega Panda,” will offer plenty of interior space with compact external dimensions, ideal for urban environments and family trips, Fiat stated.
Another surprising addition is a pickup, a departure for European customers but a segment where Fiat has seen success in South America with the Strada pickup. Fiat is confident this model could achieve global success, including in Europe.

The fastback, popular in Brazil, the Middle East, and Africa, and an SUV styled as a ‘Giga Panda’, are also part of Fiat’s future plans. However, details about the powertrains for these models are yet to be revealed.
Stylistically, Fiat’s future models will feature sharp angles and pixel graphic headlights, with a focus on long wheelbases and short overhangs for optimal battery placement. Brand boss Olivier Francois stated, “We are excited to share this glimpse into our future; a very near future, actually, since the first car will be presented in 4 months during the brand’s 125th-anniversary celebration. That car will then be followed by 1 new model every year.”
