Built on New Electronic Architecture

The ID. AURA T6 is the first production model in FAW-Volkswagen’s new ID. AURA new energy vehicle lineup.

The SUV is built on the China Electronic Architecture (CEA), an electrical and electronic platform jointly developed by Volkswagen and Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Xpeng.

According to Volkswagen, the architecture adopts a centralized computing and zonal control design intended to reduce system complexity while improving computing efficiency and response times.

The model will also be equipped with an advanced driver-assistance system developed by Carizon, the joint venture established by Volkswagen and Horizon Robotics.

The ID. AURA T6 is part of Volkswagen’s broader strategy to expand its electric vehicle portfolio in China. The automaker has said it plans to introduce 13 new models in the country during 2026, including seven all-new new energy vehicles, as it continues to strengthen its presence in the world’s largest electric vehicle market.
