Fastned has reached a significant milestone by surpassing 250 operational stations across Europe. The company’s recent additions of two new stations, one in France and one in the UK, further strengthen Fastned’s mission of accelerating the transition to electric mobility. Fastned was established more than a decade ago in the Netherlands and has expanded its network to Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, France, and the UK.
Fastned’s founders, Michiel Langezaal and Bart Lubbers, set a goal of building 1,000 fast charging stations by 2030 to aid in the transition to sustainable mobility. The company’s recent achievement of more than 250 stations underscores the relevance of their vision, especially as the demand for charging infrastructure will only increase with the rise in EV adoption. According to the European Council, there could be 30 million EVs on European streets by 2030.

The Rosny-sur-Seine station is situated between Rouen and Paris and can accommodate up to eight EVs simultaneously.
Fastned is proud of its role as a leading force in the transition to sustainable mobility in Europe. The company aims to provide EV drivers with the best fast charging experience possible, helping to create a cleaner, better future for all. Fastned’s CEO, Michiel Langezaal, stated that the company is committed to making EV driving as easy as possible for people and that they are making a significant contribution through their reliable, fast charging infrastructure. The company plans to continue expanding its network to meet the growing demand for charging infrastructure as more people switch to EVs.
