Everything You should know about Smart #1 dimensions

Smart Automobile has officially revealed Smart #1 electric car technology in Europe (7/4).

Based on Concept #1, Smart #1 is Smart’s first electric SUV after becoming a joint venture brand between Mercedes-Benz and Geely.

It is also the first Smart car to be developed from Geely’s modular platform, the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA).

Interestingly, the Smart #1 compact body has larger dimensions than the Smart Fortwo or Forfour.

In the production version, the Smart #1 has a body length of 4,270 mm, width of 1,822 mm, height of 1,636 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm.

When compared to the concept, the production version of the Smart #1 is 20 mm shorter, 88 mm thinner in width, and 62 mm shorter in height.

However, if Smart #1 and Smart Fortwo are compared parallel, the visible difference is like the earth and the sky.

For information, the latest generation Smart Fortwo has dimensions of 2,695 mm in length, 1,663 mm in width, 1,555 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 1,873 mm.

The Smart #1 has a body length equivalent to the 1.58 Fortwo, while the wheelbase is almost 1.5 times longer than the Fortwo.

Then what about Smart Forfour? In the latest generation, the Forfour has dimensions of 3,495 mm in length, 1,640 mm in width, 1,550 mm in height and a wheelbase of 2,490 mm.

This means that the Smart #1 body and wheelbase are 775mm and 260mm longer, respectively, although the Forfour is slightly wider.

With a larger body, Smart #1 can certainly have a more spacious interior space than the Fortwo or Forfour.
