CATL has unveiled the Shenxing Pro Battery, marking a major leap in lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology and setting new safety and performance benchmarks in the global EV battery market.

As the world’s first LFP battery to feature NP3.0 system-level safety technology, Shenxing Pro is designed to not only extend range and charging capabilities but also prioritize driver safety in critical situations.

At the core of Shenxing Pro is CATL’s No Propagation (NP) 3.0 safety system, the result of seven years of research and innovation. This system ensures that even in the event of thermal runaway, the battery can continue supplying power for over an hour, giving drivers ample time to maneuver vehicles away from danger.

The technology also prevents flames and smoke, reducing the risk of secondary accidents caused by impaired visibility. Paired with CATL’s Wave cell design and Cell-to-Body (CTB) integration, Shenxing Pro delivers stronger energy density, structural rigidity, and improved vehicle safety, aligning with the real-world needs of European consumers.

The Shenxing Pro lineup includes two distinct variants tailored for different driver demands. The Super Long Life & Long Range Battery delivers an impressive WLTP range of up to 758 kilometers with a lifespan of 12 years or 1 million kilometers.

After 200,000 kilometers, performance degradation is limited to just 9 percent, meeting the high standards of Europe’s leasing markets. Meanwhile, the Super-Fast Charging Battery redefines convenience, adding 478 kilometers of WLTP range in just 10 minutes—equivalent to a charging speed of 0.8 kilometers per second.

Even under harsh winter conditions at -20°C, the battery can provide 410 kilometers of range after a 20-minute charge, addressing one of the most pressing challenges for EV adoption in colder regions.

Performance is another highlight. The Super-Fast Charging version supports acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds at 830 kW, showing that LFP batteries can deliver not only efficiency but also high output for performance-oriented EVs. Backed by a warranty of up to 10 years or 240,000 kilometers, Shenxing Pro reflects CATL’s confidence in its durability and long-term value.
