With a plug-in hybrid powertrain, the Wrangler 4xe allows customers to travel on full electric power and zero emissions, and is claimed to be more efficient and enjoyable on all terrains.
The Jeep Wrangler 4xe features a propulsion system that combines two electric motors, a 2.0-liter I-4 engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission for near-silent propulsion and enhanced 4×4 off-road capability.
To stay connected, these new Jeep vehicles are equipped with the full suite of Uconnect Services for customers to enjoy an integrated toolkit that combines functionality, connectivity and service with ease of use.
In 2022, the Wrangler 4xe lineup is further enhanced with advanced technology content and a suite of last-generation ADAS features including High Beam Automatic Headlight Control, Full Speed āāForward Collision Warning Plus with Advanced brake assist and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop.
All of this is offered by Jeep as standard on the 2022 models along with standard Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Path Detection, rearview camera and front and rear Park Assist on the previous model year.
Some of the new in the Wrangler 4xe include a tough Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) Gorilla Glass windshield available directly from the factory, then the exterior paint Silver Zynith Metallic Clear Coat and High Velocity Metallic Clear Coat which join the Wrangler color palette which includes Black, White. Sunny, Firecracker Red, Granite Crystal Metallic, Sting-Gray, Hydro Blue, plus Snazzberry and Sarge Green (both only available in the Sahara).
All color options will be available in combination with a soft top, or a black hardtop or body color depending on the trim level.
Additionally, the stunning Tuscadero and Gobi colors will join the Jeep palette with bright and custom colors that add customization and appeal to the Jeep Wrangler. This is also the first time the Tuscadero and Gobi are available to order in all Jeep Wrangler trims.

Jeep has already opened orders for this vehicle, with the first phase starting now through January 2022, while the second will be available to order for a limited period from spring to summer 2022.
The front glass of the Wrangler 4xe is coated with Gorilla Glass (standard on the Rubicon and optional on the Sahara), which uses the same chemical strengthening technology as the phone’s screen.

The combination of an ultra-thin Gorilla Glass inner layer with a 52 percent thicker outer layer makes this windshield lightweight, durable and up to three times more resistant to rock cracking and off-road debris.
With the introduction of the 2022 model year, 100 percent of the Wrangler lineup is offered in only plug-in hybrids in the left-hand drive European market. This provides a solid basis for Jeep’s plans to offer 70 percent of Jeep vehicles sold worldwide by 2025 with an electric powertrain option.
