The Mercedes Benz eCitaro electric bus now has an innovative service system specifically for the bus fleet at the InnoTrans 2022 trade show in Berlin. This Daimler bus will later present the new Omniplus On Uptime Pro service for the first time.
Please note that Omniplus Uptime Pro permanently monitors all relevant vehicle systems on Mercedes-Benz and Setra buses. Thanks to real-time predictive analysis, bus companies will receive recommendations to take immediate action if something goes wrong in the future.
At the exhibition, visitors will also find out about the range of eCitaro city buses. But for now the focus is on the new NMC 3 battery generation for the future Mercedes eCitaro with fuel cell drive as an extended range, and turnkey electromobility from a single source Daimler Bus. Omniplus On Uptime Pro system service will be available from September 2022
Reported from the Sustainable Bus page, with its Uptime service, Omniplus introduced a service revolution since 2017 and offers reliable protection against unpleasant surprises to the fleet.
Detailed advance information enables authorized repair shops to optimally prepare for upcoming tasks, combining repair and maintenance work and thereby optimizing service time.
According to Daimler Buses, the Omniplus On Uptime Pro service is the latest step in the evolution of core services, paving the way to ideal bus conditions, where buses always run flawlessly.
Omniplus On Uptime Pro creates transparency with respect to the technical condition of the fleet, ensuring maximum planning security leading to a significant increase in vehicle availability.
Very important consideration is currently being given to the needs and circumstances of large transportation companies with their own workshops. Omniplus On Uptime Pro uses advanced telemetry technology to process the transmitted vehicle specific data.
With Omniplus On Uptime Pro, remote fleet diagnosis complete with all active and stored faults and environmental data can be viewed directly on the newly designed Omniplus On portal without having to physically connect the bus to the diagnostic device as before.
