Eve Air Mobility, a player in the electric aerial vehicle (EAV) sector, has announced a substantial equity financing round amounting to $94 million. This funding, bolstered by investments from Embraer and other backers, underscores Eve Air’s commitment to advancing its electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft program.

“We appreciate the confidence that these investors are placing in Eve,” remarked Eduardo Couto, Chief Financial Officer at Eve Air Mobility. “The new equity, along with existing cash and credit lines, ensures Eve is well positioned as we continue to build momentum and advance in the development and manufacturing of our eVTOL.”

The company, which originated from Embraer’s business accelerator, is progressing towards assembling its inaugural full-scale eVTOL prototype for imminent testing. Eve Air has garnered significant attention with a pre-order book boasting 2,900 units, indicating robust market interest in its innovative aerial mobility solutions.

Recently, Eve Air collaborated with Embraer and Groupe ADP to prepare operational infrastructure at Paris-Le Bourget Airport, aiming to integrate training, maintenance, and ground services tailored for eVTOL operations. The company’s strategic alliances extend globally, with partnerships in Japan, Australia, India, and South Korea for urban air mobility initiatives.

Scheduled for deployment by 2026, Eve Air’s eVTOL vehicles feature eight propellers for vertical flight and fixed wings for efficient cruising, promising a range of 60 miles. Leveraging Embraer’s aerospace expertise, Eve Air anticipates utilizing a global network for service and support.

Pending regulatory approvals, including from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Department of Transportation, Eve Air is also exploring collaborations with low-cost carriers such as Flynas in Saudi Arabia and Jeju Air in South Korea to expand its market footprint.

The company’s initiatives align with global efforts to enhance urban air mobility infrastructure, aiming to alleviate congestion and transform commuter travel experiences in metropolitan regions.
