Liv is a cycling brand that stands out for its unwavering dedication to women’s cycling. As a subsidiary of Giant, one of the largest bike brands in the world, Liv has been making waves in the world of women’s for-sport bicycles, both electric and standard. One of their newest offerings is the updated version of the Embolden E+, an all-mountain electric bike that promises to take on steep climbs and technical descents with ease.
Built with Giant’s proprietary Aluxx 6061 aluminum, the Embolden E+ boasts a full-suspension frame with 125 millimeters of rear-wheel travel. Paired with a fork with 140 millimeters of travel, this bike is a true all-mountain machine. The 2023 model also features Giant’s proprietary SyncDrive system, developed in partnership with Yamaha.
The Embolden E+ is available in four variants, with the top-of-the-line models featuring the SyncDrive Pro 2 motor. With a maximum output of 85 Newton-meters of torque, it can easily handle even the most technical trails. Liv claims that the high-end Embolden E+ models can go up to 290 kilometers, or 181 miles, on a single charge, thanks to the EnergyPak Smart 800 battery.
For those who want a more affordable option, there are three other variants to choose from: the Embolden E+ 1, E+2, and E+ EX. These models are equipped with the SyncDrive Sport2 motor, which has 75 Newton-meters of torque. While it can handle the same terrain as the Pro 2, it may not cover the ground as quickly. These variants come with a 625 watt-hour battery pack, but you can upgrade to a larger 800-watt-hour unit for an extra charge.
In terms of pricing and availability, the Liv Embolden E+ Pro will retail for 4,999 Euros, or approximately $5,416 USD. The SyncDrive Sport2-equipped models, starting with the Embolden E+ 1, will be available for 4,499 Euros, or about $4,875 USD. The urban-focused Embolden E+ EX is priced at 4,299 Euros ($4,658 USD), while the most affordable base model Embolden E+ will retail for 3,999 Euros, or the equivalent of about $4,333 USD. These bikes are expected to be available from Giant distributors starting in April 2023.
Liv’s commitment to women’s cycling is evident in the design and engineering of the Embolden E+. It is a trailblazing bike that promises to take on any terrain with power and grace. Whether you’re an experienced rider or just starting, the Embolden E+ is sure to make your cycling journey a thrilling and memorable one.
