As the commencement of initial production draws near, sightings of the Tesla Cybertruck have been on the rise, building excitement for the upcoming handover event scheduled for the end of Q3 2023.

Over the weekend, a Cybertruck prototype was spotted cruising through Austin, Texas, and to everyone’s surprise, Tesla CEO Elon Musk was seen behind the wheel at one point.

Musk himself shared the excitement by posting a photo of an undisguised Cybertruck prototype on his Twitter account last Saturday. Accompanied by the caption, “Just drove Cybertruck around Austin!”, the tweet stirred curiosity among enthusiasts. Although Musk did not divulge extensive details about the driving experience, he did respond to a query, expressing that it had been “very fun!”

Given that this was not Musk’s first encounter with Tesla’s electric pickup truck, it would have been intriguing to learn about any notable changes since his last drive in a Cybertruck prototype. Unfortunately, Musk opted to keep such insights to himself on this occasion.

It is worth noting that numerous sightings of the Cybertruck have been reported across the United States in recent weeks, particularly in Palo Alto, Fremont, and Austin. Surprisingly, the electric pickup truck has even been spotted as far away as New Zealand, undergoing winter testing in that distant land.

Returning to the Cybertruck sighting with Elon Musk in Texas, a video surfaced on Twitter, seemingly featuring the same vehicle. However, the driver in the footage did not resemble Tesla’s CEO. Nevertheless, other social media posts strongly suggest that Musk did indeed take the Cybertruck for a spin around Austin on that eventful Saturday.

Just last week, another Cybertruck prototype, this time fully camouflaged, was spotted cruising along a freeway in Palo Alto. This sighting provided onlookers with a glimpse of how the suspension adeptly handles high-speed bumps.

On the same eventful day, the Cybertruck was observed sporting a full-length light bar at the rear, indicating Tesla’s ongoing efforts to refine the vehicle as it approaches the long-awaited commencement of initial production.

Elon Musk has previously expressed his belief that the Cybertruck possesses the potential to become Tesla’s greatest vehicle to date. Enthusiasts worldwide eagerly anticipate the realization of this vision as the Cybertruck finally enters production later this year, marking a significant milestone three and a half years after its initial unveiling.
