Tesla Inch CEO Elon Musk tweeted on Friday that Tesla will raise the price of its advanced driver assistant software dubbed “Full Self Driving” to $12,000 on January 17, 2022.
This increase comes less than two years since Tesla raised the price of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) software to $10,000 from $8,000 in 2020.
“Tesla’s FSD price rose to $12,000 on January 17. Right in the US.” Musk tweeted Saturday (8/1/2021).

In the series of tweets, Musk also announced that monthly subscription prices will increase when FSD is widely released.
“FSD prices will go up as we get closer to the release of the FSD production code,” he tweeted.
Tesla announced that they are upgrading the capabilities of the FSD software. They have also conducted a series of trials for such features such as changing lanes automatically and turning. What you need to know, this feature does not make the vehicle autonomous.
