Electrify America has unveiled its latest large format charging station at Simon’s Fashion Valley in San Diego, California. This facility features 20 Hyper-Fast chargers, each capable of delivering speeds up to 350 kilowatts (kW), significantly enhancing charging options for electric vehicle (EV) users.

Located near a variety of shopping and dining venues, the new station is part of Electrify America’s strategy to address current and future EV charging demands through the establishment of larger format stations. This site marks Electrify America’s 1000th charging station and increases the total number of Hyper-Fast chargers at Fashion Valley to 23.

While charging, guests are encouraged to utilize the Electrify America mobile app, which allows users to track their charging sessions and receive notifications when their session concludes, facilitating timely unplugging for the next user.

Eligible EV owners can also take advantage of Electrify America’s Plug&Charge-enabled network by enrolling in the Electrify America Premium Offer. This feature enables drivers to start a charging session simply by plugging in their vehicle, eliminating the need for physical payment methods.

In 2023, Electrify America reported a doubling of customer charging sessions, totaling over 10 million and dispensing approximately 380 gigawatt hours of energy. To further support the expanding EV community, the company aims to have 5,000 Hyper-Fast public and commercial chargers operational or under construction by the end of 2024.
