Car tire manufacturer Goodyear is also enlivening the electric car market by presenting a new product. Recently, Goodyear launched an electric car tire called the ElectricDrive GT.
Goodyear’s official website states that the ElectricDrive GT is called the all-season high performance car tire and is ideal for electric cars with high torque but heavier than gasoline cars.
According to Goodyear United States Vice President of Product Development David Reese, electric car tires require meeting very specific requirements for load, torque, noise, range, rolling resistance and overall performance.
Goodyear has greatly optimized the design of this electric car tire so that it is claimed to be more durable. The asymmetrical tread provides excellent traction and handling in both wet and dry road conditions.

Starting in 2022, Goodyear’s ElectricDrive GT electric car tires will be available in sizes 255/45R19 104W XL which is ideal for the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y. Goodyear will also produce more ElectricDrives in a variety of sizes.
