Dinobus, a provider of emission-free airport transport solutions, is making waves with its innovative 14-metre Dinobus Pure Electric Airport Bus, designed to provide sustainable transport options for airports. The bus boasts a maximum speed of 60 kph and can travel up to 150 kilometres between charges, making it a versatile and eco-friendly choice for airport shuttles.
Equipped with a 210 kWh LFP battery pack from CATL, the Dinobus Pure Electric Airport Bus is not only environmentally friendly but also practical. With a width of roughly three metres and a height of 3.4 metres, the bus features eight passenger seats and ample room for a wheelchair, accommodating a total of 87 to 120 passengers at a time.
One of the standout features of the Dinobus is its lightweight design, which sets it apart from other electric vehicles in its class. “With their light monocoque frames, the buses are more agile, providing greater performance, but more importantly, they are lighter,” the company stated in a press release. “This energy efficiency is carried over to other parts of the bus’s design, with the lightweight design of the motors, batteries, and interior and exterior trims helping to reduce overall weight.”
While it is unclear whether Dinobus provides its own charging infrastructure, the company emphasizes its commitment to sustainability by incorporating solar energy into its charging stations. Dinobus has already begun providing shuttles to Rome Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport and Warsaw Chopin Airport, demonstrating its commitment to revolutionizing airport ground handling.
