Spanish e-bike brand Desiknio, recognized for its lightweight electric bicycles featuring premium technology, has extended its reach to the US market. Collaborating with Stromer, Desiknio introduces its latest models, the X20 series, offering cyclists in the US a choice between a gravel or urban commuter option.

At the core of the X20 series is the Mahle X20 motor, lauded for its compact design, low weight, and smooth power delivery. Nestled in the hub of the e-bike, the motor incorporates torque sensors for seamless assistance, boasting a nominal output of 250 watts that facilitates assistance up to 20 miles per hour. The 250-watt-hour battery, extendable to 500-watt-hours with a range extender, complements the motor’s capabilities.

Providing a comprehensive overview of the bike’s essential metrics is the Mahle X20 Control Unit, seamlessly integrated into the top tube without compromising the bike’s streamlined cockpit. Cyclists can further customize and adjust settings through the My SmartBike app, which also offers GPS navigation, speed monitoring, and battery management features.

For those seeking a versatile ride, the Desiknio X20 Gravel is crafted with a handcrafted monocoque carbon fiber frame and fork. With aesthetics prioritized through internal cable routing and an integrated seat clamp, riders can choose between a Shimano GRX 600 or a Campagnolo EKAR 135 13-speed drivetrain. The bike includes a Ritchey Ergo Comp handlebar, Brooks C13 saddle, integrated tail light, and a Supernova V521S headlight for enhanced nighttime visibility.

Alternatively, the Desiknio X20 Pinion caters to urban commuters with a Pinion nine-speed gearbox, delivering power to the rear wheel through a silent and low-maintenance Gates Carbon Drive CDX. The slim and slender frame, coupled with a carbon fiber fork, enhances maneuverability and keeps weight low. Similar to the Gravel model, it features built-in lights, Ritchey handlebars, and a Brooks saddle.

The Desiknio X20 electric bicycles will be available in the US through the Stromer partnership, expected to hit the market by winter. Both the X20 Gravel and X20 Pinion have a starting MSRP of $5,995 USD, with the potential for additional costs based on optional accessories and upgrades.
