Clever, Denmark’s largest charging point operator, has signed a partnership agreement with Dutch firm PowerGo, expanding access to more than 1,000 additional EV charging points across the country. The move aims to strengthen Clever’s network and offer users more flexibility in where and when they charge.
As part of the agreement, Clever customers enrolled in the Clever One program will be able to use PowerGo’s Danish charging network at no extra cost. PowerGo, which currently operates nearly 1,000 charging points in Denmark — including 65 fast and ultra-fast chargers — has also won tenders for the installation of another 1,600 public charging points.
“With our new PowerGo collaboration, we open the door to more than 1,000 new charging points across the country,” said Mathias Langkilde Sukstorf, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Clever. “It strengthens our charging universe and gives our customers even more freedom to charge where and when it suits them.”
Clever, which offers flat-rate smart home charging, said the partnership supports its goal of making EV ownership seamless while contributing to grid stability by promoting off-peak charging. The company also plans to move into vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology in the future.
“We are working to make it easy, safe and flexible to be an electric driver in Denmark,” Sukstorf added. “That’s why we are continuously expanding Denmark’s strongest charging network and entering into partnerships with other charging operators.”
