The Decathlon BTWIN LD 920E electric city bike has made its debut in several European Union countries, offering urban commuters an enticing option for eco-friendly transportation. This e-bike is available in two variants: a stepover model boasting a green frame and a step-through frame adorned in black. Cyclists in the Netherlands, France, Italy, and Spain can now acquire the LD 920E for âŹ2,999.99, while Swedish riders will find it priced at 37,999 kr (approximately âŹ3,199).
Initially identified earlier this year under the moniker Elops LD 920 e-bike, the BTWIN LD 920E comes equipped with a mid-mounted 250W OWURU motor delivering up to 65NM of torque and a peak power output of 600W. Cyclists can adjust the pedaling cadence within the range of 40 to 90 rpm and select from four different assistance modes. The e-bike boasts an impressive 802Wh lithium-ion battery, offering riders the ability to cover distances of up to 150 km (approximately 93 miles) with electric assistance.
Enhancing the riding experience, a color screen integrated into the stem provides valuable information such as speed and remaining range. Furthermore, the e-bike features a USB-C charging port, allowing users to charge their mobile devices while on the go. The touchscreen interface can be conveniently operated using a joystick mounted on the handlebar. Additionally, riders can connect their smartphones to the e-bike via Bluetooth, accessing supplementary data, including the GPS location of the bicycle, through a dedicated app.
The LD 920E comes complete with B’TWIN by TEKTRO AIR280 hydraulic disc brakes, Vittoria E-Randonneur Tech tires, and a “HEADSHOCK” type suspension fork, ensuring a smooth and secure ride. However, it remains uncertain when or if this new model will become available in markets such as the United States or the United Kingdom.
